City Living

I realized tonight that so many amazing things have happened to me since moving to Seattle. I got to see my favorite band a few weeks after we moved. I have been to six author events/book signings (totally amazing). I have built an amazing friend base of six people that make me so very happy in addition to keeping the three good already long distance friends I've had for a few years. I've been to multiple Sounders and Mariners games and one Seahawks game. I won $500. I finally figured out what I want to do with my life, or at least narrowed it down (good luck getting there, but at least I have a path I'm trying to work towards). I've traveled internationally, made it to Califormia, and visited around Washington state. I found out I absolutely love Indian food. I got married. The list goes on.

So all these amazing things have happened without much effort on my part. They presented themselves to me and I decided to take them. What I realized tonight is that I shouldn't waste all of that good energy by ho humming about not so positive things and decide to change them. These things have made me so incredibly happy and I have the power to make more incredible things happen in my life.

When I got home from book event number six (my favorite author! ahh! And I had the best sandwich of my life for dinner) I decided to get off my ass and go up to our luxurious rooftop deck and snap a few pictures of the beautiful city that has made my life so much better along with the little intersection by our apartment in the part of town that I love so so much.

Here's to taking charge, being inspired, and author event number seven tomorrow afternoon.
